Where can I find Gnome's Hollow ?
GNOME'S HOLLOW B&B is located at 4844 Cutlass Court on North Pender Island. This Pender Island B&B hides at the end of Cutlass Court road, on the left side, tucked in amongst the trees. Pender Island is one of the beautiful Southern Gulf Islands of British Columbia, Canada. We are just North of the San Juan Islands, and are nestled between Vancouver Island and mainland British Columbia.

How do I get to Pender Island ?
1. BC Ferries reservations from mainland British Columbia to Pender Island during the summer months are essential, and recommenced for Friday and Sunday travel during the rest of the year. If you can't get direct reservations from Tsawwassen terminal (Vancouver) to Otter Bay (Pender Island), you can get a through fare via Swartz Bay (Victoria) for the same price, and it's a nice ferry ride. Ferry travel from Swartz Bay on Vancouver Island is first come first serve.

2. If you have a boat, there are several marinas on Pender Island.
On North Pender Island there is Port Browning Marina at 250-629-3493 email: portbrowning@gulfislands.com and Otter Bay Marina at 250-629-3579.
On South Pender Island there is Bedwell Harbour Marina. The Canada Customs office is located here.
3. If you have a small plane, there is a grass landing strip on the island.
4. Seair Seaplanes offers 3 scheduled daily flights from Vancouver to Port Washington on Pender Island (800-447-3247) web site.
Harbour Air also offers charter service (800-665-0212).

Where can I find a good place to eat ?
The Stand has the best hamburgers, chicken, oyster, salmon, halibut, and veggie burgers in the Gulf Islands and is located at the Otter Bay Ferry Dock (250-629-3292).
The Pistou Grill has world class cuisine and is located in the Driftwood Center (250-629-3131) email: pistougrill@cablelan.net

Memories has one of the best pizza on the island and is located at 4709 Canal Road beside the Inn on Pender Island. (250-629-3353)
Pender Island Bakery Cafe at the Driftwood center has great lunches, lots of goodies and some take out food. (250-629-6453)

What is there to do in the evening ?
In the evening you can enjoy the entertainment in one of our local pubs located at Port Browning Marina on North Pender or at Bedwell Harbour Marina on South Pender. (Bedwell is presently under renovations)
For something quieter, soak in our romantic outdoor Hot Tub located at the bottom of our 12 foot waterfall. Or if you prefer, relax in our guest‘s family room in front of the warm inviting fireplace, listen to music, read or watch cable TV. If you are so inclined, bring your our wine, we don't mind.

What recreation facilities are available ?
Pender Island boasts one best Frisbee golf courses (disc golf) around, and is only a 20 minute walk from GNOME'S HOLLOW B&B. It is in a woodlands setting and is a 27 tone pole course.
From GNOME'S HOLLOW Bed and Breakfast walk to Magic Lake and go for a dip in the old Magic Lake swimming hole.
Island tours, fishing trips, Eco tours, diving, Sail boat charters and Water Taxi service came be arranged with Sound Passage Adventures (250-629-2127) www.soundpassageadventures.com
Kayaks tours and lessons are available from Kayak Pender Island located at the Otter Bay Marina (250-629-6939). www.kayakpenderisland.com
Bikes and kayaks can be rented at Otter Bay Marina (250-629-3579).
The Pender Island Golf and Country Club is a 9 hole golf course with power car and golf club rentals (250-629-6659).
Horse back riding can also be arranged with notice.
